The name GENTE was inspired during a walk through Rome, when a storefront sign caught Corey’s attention. Learning that the word means “people” in Italian made it the perfect choice, reflecting the company’s founding principle: putting people at the center of every decision. The name also carries personal meaning, relating to the names of his children and late father, founder of the family’s first homebuilding company, connecting legacy, family, and future in a single word.
